This piece was inspired by a friend’s photograph while in Yellowstone. I was drawn to the spectacular lighting.

The mule deer had been browsing and for a fleeting moment, the sun cast dramatic lighting on the deer and the surroundings. The scene was transformed into something akin to a dramatic theater stage, lit by a talented lighting designer.
